Hello! Enjoy a little foray in to the life & times of Lego Lucy

Down to Devon... SpReE rocking the roundhouse

First stop the guitar shop in Exeter,  Matthew and Andy were picking up their new guitars, perfect.

Next to the roundhouse to begin the weeks intensive Spree rehearsals...

There were very big and loud chickens hanging around the door area,
slightly frightening at times.

Yikes...Chill Out.

First couple of days... rehearsals,
few bevies down the local, amazing.

Lots more to come...

LegoLucy & the tale of the Sheffield Half Marathon.

It is a short tale really...one with a start, middle and end.  The start was the start of the Sheffield Half Marathon, which Lucy and Rebecca ran, the middle was where these pictures were taken, say, roughly mile 6, and the end was at the end...where tears were shed.
the run was done to raise money for S.A.L.V.E International (check them out, seriously, amazing charity.)

LegoLucy was spinning out at the thought of all that running...

Anyway, it was a wonderful day, no rain until the race was out the way, and a little nap in the afternoon to recover.

Ut Oh...Frumptarn Guggen Band descend on Morley...

Frumptarn Guggen Band were out in force last Saturday...I don't think the local Morley peeps were ready for the totally epic nature of Frumptarn's musical onslaught...

The band's 'eye catching' red outfits were just glistening in the morning sunshine as the band marched along to the pulse of the PhAt bass drums!

Several tunes (or Chooons) were blasted out (at the speed of light) to what was a relatively receptive audience...I definitely clocked some enthusiastic head nodding, Oh Yes.

Next a little break between sets...just time for a cheeky snack and a refreshing beverage...
Look a shop named after me...well, how kind Morley!

Then one final, storming set, before a well deserved sit down and drink in the sunshine.

Arch Nazards hit the 'pool with FuRiOuS & awesome force...

Well, on Friday lunchtime The Arch Nazards set off on their way to the 'European Capital of Culture' Liverpool.  Over the Snake Pass we went...
That night the Nazards would rock the Korova Club...with furious force.

After a quick setting up, sound-check and setting down of instruments we headed to the pub next door for some well deserved refreshment

 Cheers!

I made a friend with a wooden leg.  we had a little boogie...

The pub we were in was rather spectacular, a place called the Philharmonic Pub...

There were ornate stained glass windows and apparently the men's toilets, with their marble urinals, were quite the tourist attraction, we did not get to see them.

Next back to the train station to meet up with some more of the Nazard crew, just time to check out some art...

'Chance Meeting' - Sculptures inspired by two legendary Liverpudlians, Ken Dodd & Bessie Braddock, in Liverpool Lime Street train station.

A good old walk around the centre, lots of cool stuff to check out,
For instance...A massive TV screen in the street...well, I suppose we need to keep tuned in.

The famous Liverpool Cavern Club...
well the original entrance to the place at least,

The Cavern Wall of Fame...so many names of bands and people that have rocked the pool...

A contemporary Costa coffee shop what!

After all the walking around we were getting rather peckish, time for a king size fatti snack...we found an American Style Diner, it looked awesome in there.
Martin and Richard
And a total Yum fest...

After all the food and joy the diner could possibly bring us we made our way back to Korova where the Nazards would soon be blasting out a volcanic set,

I was ready to rock OUT!
Well, as it turned out, the very next morning after the Nazard show Korova Club burnt down, it must have been the sheer force of electro-rock power...

Well Liverpool, thank you for having us!

A brief trip to Settle, North Yorkshire.

After some rushed packing off we went to the train station, first from Sheffield to Leeds and then a little wait at the station (just had time for a G&T) before hopping on the next train to Settle.

Lovely Easter Outings...

Well the past week has been filled with fun and washed in sun.  Lovely.
Simon and I went to Graves Art Gallery one afternoon, briefly.  Some cool pictures in there.

I had to pop my specs on for this occasion...

  Pretty Easter Flowers.  Yellow.

One sunny day Alison and I went on a trip out to the countryside.  All the way past Chatsworth to a Flour Mill.  It was a beautiful afternoon and the sun shone on our faces

The Mill

A duck hanging out in the sunshine

It was a splendid place and a wonderful day out.
