And Then We Went To The Beach.

A splendid week was recently spent with... (two thirds of)  Stealing Sheep - beautiful band based in Liverpool, The awesome mister Richard O'Flynn, & those legends SPREE.
A mini tour was under-way, the bands visited Brighton/London/Exeter/Bristol/Totnes and of course Ermington Village Pub.
On Tour with SPREE. Yes.

At the Barrelhouse in Totnes
Whilst in Brighton they performed on Balcony TV...Have a look here...

One misty morning back in Devon we managed to get to a beach.
Going to the seaside...

A few brave souls went in to the ocean.  Lego Lucy did not. Too. Cold.

It was a wonderful week that past so fast in a blur of fun, food, friends and amazing music.
Keep an eye out for all bands mentioned above as they may well be playing in a city near you soon!

Songs for Sunday *Christmas Special!*

Well It's nearly Christmas so I thought I would do like a Christmas edition of Songs for Sunday.  You know where I pick songs and say OI listen to this, cos I'm Lego...?!

So I am going to put it out there that these are my favourite Christmas songs...ever! Obviously as well as these there are also the absolute classics that everyone knows and loves BuT I think these particular toooons have got something a little special.  Hope you like...

This song is SO awesome, here is the h'actual song... But I also happened upon a live version with awesome & beautiful string parts...Check them out;

Next one...well the Video's...a bit weird...But I really like the song, Greg Lake - I Believe in Father Christmas.

Bloody Hell WHY NOT! A bit of East 17 to round off my Christmas edition of 'Songs for Sunday'...HA, a classic song, technically not all that Christmassy but still on the Xmas Compilation CD that we listen to every [EVERY] Christmas.

Without a doubt the scariest video I have ever seen in my Lego Life. Is it serious, is it a joke, I don't know?!

A trip to Sawmills. SPREE action.

Sawmills Studio in Cornwall  is one of those places that you feel lucky to get to visit in your life, a splendid place of pretty water and trees and music making.

Lego (Hippy Happy) Lucy

Off down to Sawmills to see SPREE - some brass based business to take care of,
It is quite far from home...
Bus,
trains,
more trains,
taxi
and a boat
....and we're there

Worth it though - Look!

Nice.
To get to the studio once off the train you might walk down the train tracks for quarter of an hour followed by a hidden pathway set back in lots of trees, (a forest as one might call it)...Or you can get to the studio by boat.

On this occassion I arrived in the evening, it was dark and cold and misty and I was met by mister Tom and his boat, it was a bit magical like a scene from Harry Potter, we were sailing across the deserted water with deatheaters on our tail, just kidding about the last bit, that dint happen.

Morning...To look out your window & see this is marvellous in it
Anyway it was a brief jaunt down to Cornwall but there was still time to enjoy the surrounds and check out SPREE's newest work.
Spent some time down in the Studio where the music gets made...

Buttons and things
Hangin' in the studio
Wired
A big mixing desk

Ulysses Air-drumming very well
Wonderful place, looking forward to the release of SPREE's album in the not too distant future... (check out their myspace.  It's got music and videos on)

Feels a bit Christmassy...

Sheffield is looking like the epitome of Christmas at the moment,
A recent trip to the city centre - well that got me in a christmassy mood and that was still November (pre massive snow attack!)

Cool bubble Tree LL likes

Now all the snow keeps coming down and it really is like White-Christmas territory...Although is it all going to melt overnight...who knows...?  Or it might turn in to extremely scary and slippery ice...we shall see.
Beautiful none the less (for the time being)

eeek

Deep!

Look at all this snow!
