Songs for Sunday #6 (but not)

Songs for Sunday #6

Normally on a Sunday morning I like to go on about some songs that I have enjoyed listening to during a pleasant Sunday chill out sesh.  But not today, I got too excited about mentioning some other stuff...There is a kind of Sheffield theme to this post...

So first...

Here's a magick new video from Sheffield/Salford/Liverpool's The Chanteuse & The Crippled Claw.  You might recognise the Rutland Arms in the video...a loverly local pub in Sheffield town centre, or you might recognise Candie Payne (Liverpool's finest) OR you might recognise Mister Longarms...aka Adrian, who concocted this marvellous video & song OR you might even recognise an extra special guest appearance from Salford's Maxine Peak (amazing lady).
Check out the video for the Chanteuse & The Crippled Claw's first single - 'Are You One'

If you like this tune then you should definitely come to the first live show - in Sheffield on the 4th December...Or in Manchester on the 5th (More details here @ Arms Controller .)

Secondly...I happened upon an amazing photography project whilst on the computer yesterday.

(The following info is straight from Luke Avery's website...Sheffield 365 Project which you should have a look at)
"The Sheffield 365 Project came about as the idea of Sheffield based photographer Luke Avery. After spending 7 years in Sheffield, Luke realised that there were still large quantities of the city he had no idea about, both geographically and also in terms of its inhabitants.
Luke set himself the challenge of shooting a portrait of a random member of Sheffield every day for a year, both as a way of getting to know the city better and also to document those who live there at the start of a new decade. This website is the result."

This project is awesome, I found that I could not stop until I had looked at every single photo.  Perhaps it is more pertinent to those who live in Sheffield, but regardless of the Sheffield setting every photo in this epic collection is splendid,

Here is one beautiful song to finish off the post with (you can have a listen to it whilst perusing the Sheffield 365 Project...dooooo it :)

Happy Sunday!

LLx
